#70Days: A summertime privilege and pleasure

Day 5:

Devotional phrase: Jesus ascended ... Christ our King!

We all live under the rule of Jesus.  His authority and Kingship trumps all other thrones, principalities, and powers.  Because He is in charge we don't have to live timidly, cautiously, or in fear.  Instead we can live a full and robust life!

Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth ... To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. (Rev 1: 5-6)

Today's BIG event is spending the day with my grandsons ... a summertime privilege and pleasure.  I'm headed out to pick them up (they live nearby!).  Today we will play Legos, swim in the pool, maybe go to the park, eat tasty Grandma snacks ... and who knows what else!
