Parabola project
Students are beginning to turn in their parabola projects. They had to find pictures of 3 "real-life" items that resemble parabolas. In just a sentence or two, they described the vertex and the x-intercepts. I have only received a few so far ... I am impressed with their creativity!

ReplyDeleteThe water fountain one is terrific since it can be used to 'sell' kids on the equation for projectile motion. Kids have a hard time (understandably) wrapping their heads around that projectile formula, but seeing it in front of them goes a long way toward winning them over.
