Beth - these are great! The student blogging project keeps moving up on my to-do list thanks to you and others who have shared this. And I think it is so empowering to the students. Kudos to you and them! - Wendy M
ReplyDeleteWendy - thanks! I really like kidbog as a site to use ... very easy to get started! This first six weeks students had to post just once ... and I didn't grade it. They are using the checklist I created to self-assess. Next six weeks (starts Monday) students are asked to blog twice and comment 3 times in the marking period. I plan to grade 1 blog post per student (160 students). I am blown away by some of their interests, topics, creativity and research. It's a lot of fun!
DeleteAhhh...I love a Saturday with nothing to do! :) I'm going to check out your student blogs because our principal wants us to start one. Glad to have an example to follow!
ReplyDeleteAnd these pumpkin oatmeal chocolate chip cookies will cure your fall dessert treat, for sure! ;)
